Offshore crystal riverbig grouper. Went last friday may, 6th and it was very windy so we didn't go past the end marker of crystal river channel. Got a pretty late start because we knew it would be calmer in the afternoon.
Couldn't figure out how to catch the bigger ones, once it got too r. 12/6/17 started at the reef got several good snapper and a monster sheepshead then catching nothing but baby grouper. Fished a rock pile in 8ft got few small gags and couple good ones.
Been getting alot more fish it this month just d. When out there had to wait 30ft till 2pm was so rough. Crystal river is known for its beautiful spring fed systems.
To a spot could do some bottom fish. Moved around to find more. Caught some nice grouper with a few big red snapper and kingfish mixed in.
